The up-turned, tapered loop design of the TMC7999 has largely become the standard model for salmon and steelhead wet flies. It features heavy wire for added strength when hooked on a large anadromous fish, and the black finish on the curved shank of this hook makes it ideal for any classic salmon or steelhead pattern.
