The Rogue River is one of the most prolific Steelhead fisheries in Oregon. Summer Steelhead begin to enter the river in May, with the peak of the run September/October/November. Depending on the flows and temperatures it offers a wide variety of fishing styles and water types. The best fishing comes mid-September through early November with nymphs and eggs dead drifted behind spawning Spring and Fall Chinook. Fishing the Rogue in October is like trout fishing in Alaska, but closer to home!
